When a carwash tries to sell you a monthly subscription, they are trying to make more money. Unless you live on a dirt road, your car likely doesn’t need washed every day or even every week. That is not why I am launching this program.
I have many conversations with longtime riders at the shop about how bikes have evolved and gotten more complicated. And while our opinions may differ on whether that is a bad change, my attitude towards repair remains the same: fix every bike new and old to the highest standard possible.
But it does beg the question, why has the way bikes are serviced not changed? Bike shops are running the same service models that they always have. I’m here to change that.

This program isn’t going to be for every rider. I fully support riders wanting to do their own bike maintenance. But for those riders who desire convenience and a worry free maintenance plan, this is for you. It is for people who want to spend less time maintaining their bike, and more time riding it. Think about it like your own personal Tour de France mechanic, who cleans the bike after every stage of riding it.
One final thought, my business is repairing bikes, but I think it would be lazy to only worry about when things break. I’m also interested in keeping them from breaking in the first place, thereby reducing wasteful parts and saving the customer time and money. Prairie.Bike isn’t interested in parts swapping for profit, but rather taking preventative measures to give your bike a long service life.

Q: Does this apply to my whole household?
A: Let’s say you want to bring two of your own bikes in at once, then only one is guaranteed to be ready the same day. This is the same for bringing in your own bike and another member of your household’s bike. If you wish for both to be ready the same day, then you will need to but unlimited washes for each person.
