Christmas gifts that every cyclist will love.

Let’s be honest, buying riding gear for cyclists is hard.

You can’t buy parts because getting compatible ones will require their knowledge. Clothes don’t work, because sizing is hard and everyone has specific preferences for what they like to wear.

But I have a principle to purchase gifts on that will work for any cyclist.

Buy a very nice version of something basic, since they will not buy it themselves.

Silca Terra floor pump

Features: wooden handle, two stage gauge, high material quality.

Price: $145

Most of us just keep using the small plastic pumps with illegible gauges because they work, and therefore, we have no reason to spend money on a new one, especially when there are other parts we want to buy.

But, you better believe we will enjoy airing up our tires 100 times more.

The Silca Terra pump has replacement parts available, and is built to last a lifetime.

Tifosi Glasses

I don’t know why, buy cyclists seem to have a lot of glasses. And I think everyone always appreciates another pair. Maybe that is because we like switching out styles, matching our lenses to different bikes, or keeping a spare set in the car.

Price: $24-80

Colored, polarized, and fototec (light sensing) lenses available.

Replacement lenses and parts can be purchased separately if they break, and many of the sport models come with 3 different lenses.

Various Cleaning Supplies

Price $6-135

Everyone loves a clean bike, I have chain cleaners, brushes, soap, gourmet soap (Silca) and more.

Multi Tools

Price $30-60

These tools feel nice in your hand, and cyclists always need them. The Crankbrothers F16 is my favorite for being small, and the m20 has the most tools I can think of. Think about it like that uncle that has a huge drawer of pocket knives, you can always use another.

Service

Gifting a tuneup, especially if the person has a hard time spending money on themselves, can be a phenomenal gift.

Quick Tuneup- $65

Signature Tuneup – $120

All-In Service – $225

Suspension service $60-80 per suspension component. For some Mountain Bikers, this is tantamount to giving them new suspension but at a fraction of the cost. Seriously, if they have suspension that has never been serviced, a simple lower leg or air can service will restore that small bump sensitivity that makes the bike ride silky smooth.

All these service can be purchased in the from of E-Gift cards, or gift certificates.
